Same, Different #1

The same, yet different. This is how I'm finding many things here in Alice.

This post will be the first in a series of images and essays that compare day-to-day life in Alice Springs to Saratoga, and possibly more generally Australia to the US.

Mail:

We receive daily mail in our mailbox, just like we're used to. But the difference is that here, we have the option to eliminate junk mail with a sticker that you can see on these boxes, "No Junk Mail." Simple.

We haven't put one on our box yet as I'm enjoying reading the advertising for the time being. I guess that's an indication that I'm still in the Honeymoon phase. Although it's annoying that I have to wait for some of our mail which is being forwarded periodically from Santa Clara by Ken's co-workers. And I'm going out today to explore the post office. So, again, I'm crashing the schedule.
