Waiting

Ken has spoken to his COTR (which stands for Contracting Officer's Technical Representative), and an actual proposal has been submitted for placing him in the opening at Alice Springs. This is a step his employer takes to secure the funding.

The expected probability that this will be accepted is quite high. It seems to be more of an administrative technicality (although a critical one) than a sales effort. Once the proposal is accepted, he will be in a position to determine the specifics such as a move date. So for now we wait.

While waiting, however, we continue to explore options for finding a foster home for the two dogs. If anyone knows of someone who loves dogs that might be able to take them on, one very old but healthy (sleeps a lot), one crippled with rheumatoid arthitis (cheerful but gimpy), please let us know. We are willing to compensate good foster parents for the effort!
