Teamwork

I started working at Desert Knowledge Australia about the same time I stopped blogging. It's been fascinating, fun, frustrating, and filling. Filling more of my time, that is, than I had hoped. Now that I've gotten through the hopefully steepest part of the learning curve, I am back to blogging.

My title is Business Manager, and that means I'm responsible for everything except the core projects and programs we deliver, i.e., Finance, IT, HR, Marketing, Contracts, Project Development, Governance, Risk Management, Facilities, Precinct Management, Tenant Management, and whatever else the CEO dreams up (like project managing a Climate Change Forum and monetizing our Solar Center.)

Here is a photo taken yesterday of the team. This was shot for our Annual Report, which will be published soon for the fiscal year of July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010.

I look after five of the team members in the row behind the chairs, and have been told I'm a bit of a "mother hen." Two of us are Americans and one is French so it's a nice intercultural team.
