Ken barbeques the prime rib. Isn't that a good looking hunk? (The meat, I mean, but hey, the man, too!)
We forgot to bring any vases with us, so used a few empty spice jars to hold the flowers Ken picked from our yard. Mostly bougainvillea.
The gorgeous art quilt on the dining room wall was a wedding gift to us from Ken's sister Connie. The pattern is called Australian Mystery 07 (Streak of Lightning).
I filled a small bowl with sand and shells that we collected in Tasmania. This was to symbolize our wedding on the beach in Coronado, San Diego. We have just poured our champagne here for a celebratory toast.
We ate dinner by candlelight. Oh, so romantic.
It's been a fantastic year! We have such great memories of our wedding day, the family, the flowers, the food, it was all perfect. We are looking forward to many more years together.
Ahh, how sweet! Thanks for sharing. It was was a wonderful wedding and sounds like a special anniversary celebration. Yes, to both hunks!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your anniversary! The flowers and the quilt make a lovely setting.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I didn't send a card! Happy anniversary, a few weeks late! Glad you are "using" the quilt ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy!! --Connie
