A large fresh produce section is one of the nice surprises; it's pretty much the same as what we were used to in terms of items in stock.

One of the main differences is that items are sold by the kilogram instead of by the pound.

The Meat section includes a few different items and the terminology is also sometimes different. What we are used to as "ground" meat is referred to here as "minced."

Who knew you could get Kentucky Ham in Alice Springs ...I was very surprised to hear one of the American spouses complaining about things she was unable to purchase here in Alice Springs, as I find just about anything you really need is here. When I asked her for an example, she mentioned a specific brand of deodorant! I don't have a photo of it, but the toiletries aisle looks pretty much just like it would at a Safeway or Lucky in the States.

We eat well.
