My neck, shoulder, arm and hand are all doing much better since Ken installed a keyboard tray for the desk and since I've been doing the stretches recommended by the physio (physical therapist.)
I'm still taking it easy and trying not to spend long hours on the computer. My manager at work has graciously found non-computer things for me to do while we wait for the keyboard tray to be installed on that desk. I've been helping catch up some work in the museum's archives and research library. I'm enjoying learning about all the various aspects of museum management.
Today my employer, the National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame, holds its Annual General Meeting and Officer elections, combined with a Christmas party for the volunteers. I have agreed to be nominated to the Executive Committee as Secretary! My understanding is that this is to fill a vacancy and is not expected to be contested. It's a volunteer role which primarily requires attendance at the monthly board meeting and taking the minutes and so forth. I know and like most of the other board members. Technically, since we are an incorporated Association, it's a Committee, not a Board, but same principle.
