But it's a dry heat...

This photo was taken just now at 3pm Sunday November 1, 2009 in Alice Springs, Australia. It is Spring in Alice Springs, and a pleasant 107 degrees Fahrenheit outside in the shade. (Thanks, Dad, for the great weather station which we rely heavily on for our temperature data.) The inside temp thanks to a/c is 69.8 and the inside humidity is a comfortable 34%.

You can see in the photo below the little white box which is the outside monitor.

Ken has done a little research and here is what he learned:

  • The highest temperature ever recorded in Alice Springs was 111 degrees Fahrenheit (that's 44 Celsius if you care.)

  • The average high for November is 93/34.

  • The average humidity in November is 27 % in the morning and 21% in the afternoon.

Well, Spring is fine but I'm looking forward to Summer and some Really nice warm weather!
