Moving Day

The movers should be here within the next hour.

Wow. It's hard to believe this day is finally here... six months after we started talking about it. So much planning and working and sorting and selling and donating and tossing...

Through it all, I can truly say we have had a lot of fun and laughs and worked and played very well together. Not something I take for granted.

Yesterday we took the Toyota for a last drive in these hills and took ourselves on our last local hike (for a while) to the Falls in Castle Rock State Park. There we briefly watched some rock climbers practicing on a steep cliff. It was a dynamic picture of teamwork, with "On Belay" and "Climb On" as the audio track.

Ken started the day today by thanking me for all I've done to get ready for this day. We acknowledged that neither of us could be doing this alone. And this, I think, is true: teamwork is the answer to all of our challenges in life.
