We have a new address! A 3 bedroom house has been assigned to us, and movers will be here next Tuesday to pack up the majority of the things that are going into local storage. (They'll be back later for the "real" move.)

I am having a surprising reaction; initial excitement is replaced by worries as the enormity of the reality of it all sinks in. Ken says "It will all be fine." Easy for him to say. He knows exactly what he's getting into. Hmmmph.
It's a perfectly gorgeous perfect Spring day here in Saratoga. The flowers are all in bloom. Birds sing and hum and chatter all around. I wish I could can this day and ship it.

Congrats on getting this far - your reactions are perfectly normal. For perspective, just keep in mind that it isn't forever. Two years will go fast! And think of the potentially exciting adventures awaiting. Or if you are into relaxing and kicking back you and Ken will be able to do that, too. I noticed there are a lot of parks in the town so there must be some birds and flowers. Enjoy!
